- Purchase some inexpensive store brand mouthwash. Use a cotton ball that has been soaked in the mouthwash and wipe it all over your feet...don't forget to get in between and underneath your toes. Let your feet and toes air dry. Mouthwash is made to kill bacteria in your mouth, but it will work just as well on your feet. You may need to do this everyday for a week or so and repeat whenever you get a scent of foot odor coming back.
- What about your child(ren)...they aren't going to sit still for you to wipe mouthwash all over their feet...so try this little trick...again, using store brand...not the expensive stuff...Let your child soak their feet in Jell-o...mix it up just like you would normally, but instead of putting it in the refrigerator to harden up...soak your child's feet in the Jell-o while it is still a liquid. Have them soak their feet for about 20 minutes. They can soak their feet while they are doing their homework or eating dinner...Just be careful...using some of the darker colored Jell-o may stain your child's feet...Lemon is a great Jell-o to use, because it isn't a dark color.
- Soak your feet for 15 minutes in one cup vinegar mixed with one gallon of warm water. This will help balance the pH levels of your skin and neutralize the odors.
- Mix two (2) Tablespoons of baking soda in one gallon of warm water and soak your feet for about 15 minutes. If you do this twice a week, it will help prevent foot odor.
- To dry up the sweat between your toes, mix one cup regular table salt with a gallon of warm water. Again, soak for about 15 minutes.
